Give your filter a fresh start.
A replacement cartridge needs to match more than the filter’s general appearance. Start with the filter model and the existing cartridge’s identification number.
Record the cartridge dimensions
Use the manufacturer’s specification sheet to compare overall length, outside diameter and the shape and size of the top and bottom openings. Cartridges with similar surface area can have different ends or dimensions.
Check the filter manual
Confirm the cartridge number and how many cartridges your filter uses. A product listing for a single cartridge may not represent a complete set.
Look at its condition
Inspect for damaged pleats, cracked end caps or wear, following the equipment manual. A filter that is not performing as expected can have several causes; do not assume a new cartridge alone will resolve the problem.
Make maintenance part of the routine
Follow the manufacturer’s guidance on inspection, cleaning and replacement. Keep a record of the filter model and cartridge number to simplify future purchases.
